Professor Ahmed gave two plenary lectures on MRI as triage test to decide which men should be biopsied. In summary, he stated that 30-40% of men could avoid a biopsy if their MRI scan was not suspicious.
He also gave a lecture on the role of focal therapy in localised prostate cancer arguing that all eligible men should be told of the treatment so they can make an informed choice.
